Trauma and urgent care
In most cases, patients referred with trauma or urgent care can be seen the same day of your referral. In general, patients will be managed quicker than the customary emergency room visit. Your patient will save their emergency room and x-ray copayment. After hours care is also available by physician referral Monday through Friday, 5 pm to 8 pm and Saturday, 10 am to 2 pm.
We participate with most major local insurance plans and accept all private plans. It is our policy to courtesy bill for all of our patients, provided the necessary billing information is provided. Motor vehicle accidents and workers’ compensation cases are accepted provided that the case is open and active.
For patient convenience, a registration/appointment packet is available to referring offices. This packet provides directions to our offices, provider biographies and a registration/medical history form to be completed by your patient prior to their first visit to Greater Rochester Orthopaedics. If the patient has had prior imaging studies for the referred orthopaedic problem, it is important that they bring those studies to their appointment. The availability of existing referral related imaging studies and prior completion of our registration/medical history form will generally increase the quality of the time that your patient spends with our provider.
By calling our medication renewal number, your referred patients can request renewals twenty-four hours per day, seven days a week. Narcotic medications are not prescribed or renewed outside of normal hours.
Our practice maintains orthopaedic x-ray and casting facilities at each of our locations. Both offices are handicapped accessible.
Free parking is available at both locations.
Evaluation and treatment records
Comprehensive treatment records of each of your patients’ visits will be faxed or mailed to your office within two days. Treatment notes can be expedited to meet your special needs.
Patients who miss their first appointment without prior notification to our office, are generally not rescheduled.
